A change in the wind. (and not for the good)~!
Due to massive changes on Google / Blogger, which I consider an invasion of privacy, I am switching formats from long winded posts to short and to the point sharing of western whiskey history.
They will still contain accurate and well researched data, but will be more easily and quickly read (but not allow Google access to my hard drives).

Eagle Glen was a brand that changed hands no fewer than three times. (the variant not pictured was sold by Mohns & Kaltenbach). The life span of the brand was from 1895 - 1917; quite a run.
Oddly enough, despite the number of years that the brand was sold, very few examples of these western picture fifths exist. Best guess is that it was primarily sold in hogsheads to saloons, or in paper label only (unembossed) bottles to the retail trade.
A quick side note; the amber example with the 59 Market St. address is an error bottle. It should read 29 Market St. Werle and Willoh never occupied 59 Market St...
